Yesterday I found a running track, and there I saw a running athlete. Here 'running' is respectively -

• সাধারণত article এবং noun এর মধ্যবর্তী word টি adjective হয়, সে হিসাবে প্রথম running টিকে অনেকেই participle হিসেবে ভুল করতে পারে।
- মনে রাখতে হবে যে, যদি article + (verb=ing) যুক্ত শব্দ + noun হয় আর সে noun টি স্থির হয় এবং চলমান sensecবা কাজ করা নির্দেশ না করে, তবে তা Gerund হবে।
- আর যদি -  article + (verb=ing) যুক্ত শব্দ + noun হয় আর সে noun টি  চলমান sense নির্দেশ করে, তবে তা participle হবে।

• নিয়মানুযায়ী, প্রশ্ন প্রদত্ত বাক্যের প্রথম clause এ ব্যবহৃত running হচ্ছে gerund and second running - Participle।

• Yesterday I found a running track - এই clause টিতে article(a) + running + noun (track) হয়েছে।
- এখানে noun টি স্থির তাই এটি gerund.

• there I saw a running athlete -  clause এ article(a) + running+ noun (athlete)
- এখানে athlete টি যেহেতু দৌঁড়াচ্ছিলো  অর্থাৎ এটি চলমান sense নির্দেশ করে বিধায় এটি participle হবে।
