• Jane Eyre:
- Charlotte Bronte wrote the novel 'Jane Eyre'.
- কেন্দ্রীয় চরিত্র হচ্ছে Jane Eyre অর্থাৎ তাঁর নামেই novel টি নামকরণ করা হয়েছে।
- Charlotte Bronte তাঁর এই Novel টি তাঁর ছদ্মনাম "Currer Bell" এর অধীনে ১৮৪৭ সালে প্রকাশিত করেন এবং উপন্যাসটিকে তাঁর Autobiography ও বলা হয়ে থাকে।
- ইংরেজি সাহিত্যের ইতিহাসে এটি একটি ক্লাসিক হিসাবে বিবেচিত। 

• Short Summary: 
- একজন নারীর সংগ্রামের গল্প। দশ বছরের একজন অনাথিনী বালিকা যে পিতা মাতার অনুপস্থিতিতে অন্য একটি পরিবারে লালিত পালিত এবং একই সাথে নিগৃহীত হয়। এরপর তার ঠিকানা হয় অনাথ আশ্রমে। 
- পরবর্তীতে Rochester নামক একজন বিত্তশালী পুরুষের প্রেমে পড়ে, কিন্তু তাদের মিলনে অনেক বাধা বিপত্তি দেখা দেয়। 
- নানা প্রতিকূলতা আর ঘাত প্রতিঘাত এড়িয়ে জীবন সংগ্রামে জয়ী হয় Jane Eyre। শেষে Rochester এর সাথে তার মিলনের মাধ্যমে উপন্যাসের শুভ সমাপ্তি ঘটে।
