Samuel Taylor Coleridge is an English Poet, critic and philosopher. - He contributed a lot to the Romantic Movement in English Literature. - He was addicted to opium. - He was a collaborator of William Wordsworth in the publication of the Lyrical Ballads. - He is mostly known for his brilliant poem 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' in which an old sailor narrates an adventurous story of his voyage in the sea to the marriage guest in a fantastic manner. - He is also remembered for his literary critique 'Biographia Literaria'.
