- This age started in the fifth century, when the Jutes, Angles and the Saxons came to England from Germany, defeated the English tribes and started their reign.
- It started 450.
- It ended in 1066 with the Norman Conquest.

English Literature Periods:
450 - 1066 :- The Old English Period
1066 - 1500 :- The Middle English Period
1500 - 1660 :- The Renaissance Period
1660 - 1785 :- The Neoclassical Period
1798 - 1832 :- Romantic Period (shortest period)
1832 - 1901 :- Victorian Period
1901- 1939: The Modern Period
1939- Till now: The Post modern period.
