- এটি একটি বহুল ব্যবহারকৃত একটি Interjection.
- এটি মূলত দুঃখের expression দেওয়ার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- এর বাংলা অর্থ: দুঃখ বা অনুতাপসূচক চিৎকার; হায়।
- Example: "Alas!" cried the man.

• উল্লিখিত বাকি অপশনগুলো,
• Because এবং Although হচ্ছে - Subordinating Conjunctions.

• Because (For the reason that; since)
- সে-কারণে; কেননা; যেহেতু অর্থে conjunction হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- যেমন: She stayed home because she was feeling unwell.

• Although - যদিও, যদ্যপি।
- Although থাকলে দুইটি clause সাধারণত একই tense এ থাকে এবং দুটিই বিপরীতধর্মী ধারণা প্রকাশ করে ।
- Although দ্বারা দুটি clause যুক্ত হয় আর although বাক্যের শুরুতে ব্যবহৃত হলে দুটি clause এর মাঝে শুধু comma ব্যবহৃত হয় ।
- অন্য কোনো conjunction বসে না।

• Yet হচ্ছে - Coordinate Conjunction.
- Yet is used to add something that seems surprising because of what you have just said.
- অর্থাৎ, যা বলা হয়েছে তার সাথে আশ্চর্যজনক/চমকপ্রদ তথ্য যোগ করতে 'তৎসত্ত্বেও' অর্থে Yet ব্যবহার করা হয়।
