- তিনি ১৯২৩ সালে প্রথম আইরিশ হিসেবে সাহিত্যে নোবেল পুরস্কার লাভ করেন।
- Abbey Theatre হচ্ছে W. B. Yeats প্রতিষ্ঠাকৃত Irish National Theatre Society. মৃত্যুর আগ পর্যন্ত তিনি এর পরিচালক হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেছেন।
