♦ Complex sentence to compound sentence:

• Though/Although যুক্ত complex sentence কে compound sentence- এ পরিবর্তন করতে but/yet coordinate marker ব্যবহার করতে হয়।

- অর্থাৎ দুইটা sentence- এর অর্থ যদি পরস্পর বিপরীত হয় তাহলে but/yet দ্বারা compound sentence করতে হয়।

Example:
• Complex: Though John was a rich man, he led a simple life.
• Compound: John was a rich man yet he led a simple life.

• Compound sentence-এ একের অধিক principal clause থাকে যাদেরকে coordinate clause বলা হয়।
- অর্থাৎ Compound sentence এ দুই বা ততোধিক principal clause বা co-ordinate clause থাকে।

• এছাড়া Compound sentence এ সাধারণত and, or, but, yet, so, therefore, otherwise, else, both --- and , either --- or , neither — nor, not only --- but also ইত্যাদি coordinating conjunction দ্বারা দুইটি principal clause যুক্ত থাকে।
