Simple form: Despite his being nervous, he faced the exam anyway.

• Though/although যুক্ত complex sentence কে simple করার নিয়ম-
• Though / although যুক্ত clause-এ যদি verb to be (am, is, are, was, were) থাকে তাহলে নীচের নিয়মের সাহায্যে simple করতে হয়-
- Though/although-এর পরিবর্তে in spite of বসে +
- সে বাক্যের subject টিকে possessive করতে হয় +
- to be verb (am, is, are, was, were) এর পরিবর্তে being বসে +
- sentence এর বাকী অংশ অপরিবর্তিত অবস্থায় বসে।
বিঃদ্রঃ inspite of-এর পরিবর্তে despite ব্যবহার করা যায়।

Example:
Complex: Though he was weak, he went to school.
Simple: Despite / In spite of + his + being weak, he went to school.
Or. Despite / In spite of + his + weakness (weak কে noun-এ রূপান্তরিত করে), he went to school.
