This is the book I lost. Here 'I lost' is-

যে subordinate clause কোন Adjective এর মত কাজ করে তাকে Adjective Clause বলে।
এগুলো বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে noun বা noun এর মত পদগুলোকে modify করে।
এখানে “I lost” phrase টি Noun "the book” কে modify করেছে। তাই এটি adjective clause হবে।

Adjective Clause
- যে সব clause বাক্যে adjective এর কাজ করে তাদেরকে Adjective Clause বলে।
- Adjective সাধারণত Noun এর আগে বা Linking verb এর পরে বসে। কিন্তু Adjective Clause সর্বদা Noun এর পরে বসে।
- Adjective Clause সাধারণত Relative Pronoun ( who, which, that, whom, whose, of which) ও Relative Adverb (Why, where, when, how, as) ইত্যাদি দ্বারা শুরু হয়।
যেমন: He could not explain the reason why they left. The boy who is playing cricket is my brother.
