- প্রথমে তিনি একজন 'musician' হবার ইচ্ছা করলেও 1894 সালে তিনি একজন সঙ্গীতজ্ঞ হওয়ার পরিকল্পনা ত্যাগ করেন এবং এর পরিবর্তে English Literature এ মনোনিবেশ করেন।
