Complex sentence: They left early so that they could catch the train.
Simple sentence: They left early to catch the train.

• So that যুক্ত complex sentence কে simple sentence এ রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
- প্রদত্ত sentence এর প্রথম থেকে so এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে,
- so that থেকে many/might/can/ could পর্যন্ত উঠে যায়,
- এদের পরিবর্তে to বসে,
- তারপর sentence এর বাকি অংশ বসে।

Other options:
খ) They left early to catching the train.
- ভুল, কারণ Preposition "to" এর পর verb এর base form বসে।

গ) They left early for catch the train.
- ভুল, কারণ Preposition "for" এর পর verb এর সাথে "ing" যুক্ত হয়।

ঘ) They left early and catch the train.
- ভুল, কারণ সাধারণত simple sentence এ কোন Co-ordinating conjunction ব্যবহার করা হয় না।
