Correct answer: The teacher wished that the students might prosper in life.

• Optative sentence এর ক্ষেত্রে, Optative Sentence এর Direct form কে Indirect form এ রূপান্তর করার নিয়ম:
- said এর পরিবর্তে wished / prayed বসবে।
- inverted comma উঠে গিয়ে that বসবে।
- reported speech এর subject বসে + may/ might বসে।
- reported verb এর মূল verb থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত অংশ বসে।

Other options:
ক) The teacher wished that may the students prosper in life.
- Optative Sentence এর Direct form কে Indirect form এ রূপান্তর করার সময় subject + may/ might বসে। এখানের subject এর পূর্বে may বসেছে তাই এটি সঠিক নয়।

খ) The teacher wished that the students might have prospered in life.
- Optative Sentence এর Direct form কে Indirect form এ রূপান্তর করার সময় reported verb এর মূল verb থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত অংশ অপরিবর্তিত ভাবে বসে।

ঘ The teacher wished that the students may prospered in life.
- Optative Sentence এর Direct form কে Indirect form এ রূপান্তর করার সময় subject + may/ might বসে। may/might এর পর সাধারণত verb এর base form বসে।
