- A figure of speech in which lifeless objects or ideas are given imaginary life.
- অর্থাৎ নির্জীব বা জড় বস্তুকে ব্যক্তিরূপে প্রয়োগ করার কৌশল।
- Personification এর মাধ্যমে কোন জড় বস্তুকে কাল্পনিক জীবন দান করে সেগুলোকে উপমা হিসাবে লেখায় ব্যবহার করা হয়।

- Usually as and like are used in it.
- In simile the resemblance is explicitly indicated by the words.
- দুটি ভিন্নধর্মী জিনিসের মধ্যে As ও Like দ্বারা তুলনা বোঝালে তাকে Simile বলে।

• Foreshadowing gives the audience hints or signs about the future. It suggests what is to come through imagery, language, and/or symbolism. It does not directly give away the outcome, but rather, suggests it.
