Direct speech: The president said, "May Bangladesh live long."
Indirect speech: The president wished that Bangladesh might live long.
- Optative Sentence এর Direct form কে Indirect form এ রূপান্তর করার "said" এর পরিবর্তে wished/prayed বসে।

• Optative Sentence এর Direct form কে Indirect form এ রূপান্তর করার নিয়ম:
- said এর পরিবর্তে wished / prayed বসবে।
- inverted comma উঠে গিয়ে that বসবে।
- reported speech এর subject বসে + may/ might বসে।
- reported verb এর মূল verb থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত অংশ বসে।

Other options:
ক) The president said that Bangladesh might live long.
- ভুল, Optative Sentence এর Direct form কে Indirect form এ রূপান্তর করার সময় "said" এর পরিবর্তে wished/prayed বসে।

খ) The president wished that might Bangladesh live long.
- ভুল, Optative Sentence এর Direct form কে Indirect form এ রূপান্তর করার সময় reported speech এর subject বসে + may/ might বসে।

গ) The president said that might Bangladesh live long.
- ভুল, Optative Sentence এর Direct form কে Indirect form এ রূপান্তর করার সময় "said" এর পরিবর্তে wished/prayed বসে। তারপর reported speech এর subject বসে + may/ might বসে।
