Direct: The master said to the servant, "Clean the room."
Indirect: The master ordered the servant to clean the room.

• Imperative Sentence- এর Direct speech কে Indirect speech এ রূপান্তর করার নিয়ম:
- Reporting verb এর পরিবর্তে Order/ command/ advise/ tell বসে,
- Direct speech এ অনুরোধ বুঝালে request বসবে, আদেশ বুঝালে command/order বসবে, উপদেশ বুঝালে advise বসবে,
- Inverted comma উঠে গিয়ে to বসে;
- তবে, Negative sentence এর ক্ষেত্রে not to বসে,
- Reported speech এর মূল verb থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত বসে,
- Structure: Subject + request/ order/ advise/ tell/ instruct + object (যদি থাকে) + to + reported speech এর মূল verb থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত বসে।

• The master said to the servant, "Clean the room."
- এখানে Direct speech-টি একটি Imperative Sentence
- এখানে একজন মনিব (Master) তার চাকরকে (Servant) আদেশ করছেন।
- তাই Reporting verb হিসেবে 'said to' এর পরিবর্তে 'ordered' বসবে।
- তাই সঠিক উত্তর হবে: The master ordered the servant to clean the room.
