• The man, who is wearing a blue jacket, is my uncle.
- Here "who is wearing a blue jacket" - is an example of -an Adjective clause.
- এই বাক্যে "who is wearing a blue jacket" এই clause টি noun "The man" এর পরে বসে তাকে modify করেছে তাই এটি adjective clause.

- যে sub-ordinate clause কোনো noun/pronoun এর পরে বসে ঐ noun/pronoun কে modify করে তাকে Adjective Clause বলে।
- অর্থাৎ noun এর post modifier হিসাবে adjective clause বসে।

• Adjective Clause দুইটি স্থানে বসতে পারে -
- Noun এর post modifier - (subject + verb + noun + adjective clause)
- Subject এর post modifier - (Subject + adjective clause + verb + object)

• Adjective clause মূলত clause সম্পর্কে অতিরিক্ত তথ্য দেয় এবং এরা relative pronoun (that, who, whose, whom, which, why, when) ইত্যাদি দ্বারা শুরু হয়।
- তবে মনে রাখতে হবে, who এবং which দ্বারা গঠিত clause টি যদি cause or purpose বোঝায় তবে সেটি Adverbial Clause হিসেবে বিবেচিত হবে।
