- অর্থাৎ adjective এর কাজ করছে।
- Verb + ing যখন adjective এর কাজ করে তখন তাকে Present participle বলে।

• A participle is a verb that ends in -ing (present participle) or -ed, -d, -t, -en, -n (past participle). Participles may function as adjectives, describing or modifying nouns.
- Participle একই সাথে Verb ও Adjective এর কাজ করে।

• Participle মূলত: তিন প্রকার:
1. Present Participle. Ex: Do not disturb a sleeping dog.
2. Past Participle. Ex: This is a book written by Charles Dickens.
3. Perfect Participle. Ex: Having eaten rice, he went to bed.

• Gerund:
- Verb+ing যদি একই সাথে Verb ও Noun এর কাজ করে, তখন তাকে Gerund বলা হয়।

- Verb এর present form এর আগে to বসিয়ে Infinitive গঠন করা হয়।
- অর্থাৎ, Infinitive = to + verb.
- Infinitive দুই রকম হতে পারে,
1. To-যুক্ত infinitive এবং,
2. To-বিহীন infinitive বা Bare Infinitive.
- Infinitive form বিভিন্ন ভাবে ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে।যেমন: Subject of verb, Object of verb, Complement of verb, object of preposition, etc.
