- প্রথম আইরিশ লেখক হিসেবে তিনি নোবেল পুরষ্কার পান ১৯২৩ সালে।
- তিনি তার রচিত সাহিত্যকর্মে symbolism এবং mysticism ব্যবহার করেছিলেন।
