- যে Noun কোনো অবস্তুগত ধারণা বা গুনকে নির্দেশ করে, যার কোনো বাহ্যিক অস্তিত্ব নেই এবং যা ছোঁয়া যায় না, গন্ধ দ্বারা বা শ্রবন দ্বারা বোঝা যায় না কিন্তু কল্পনা দ্বারা বোঝা যায় তাদেরকে Abstract Noun বলে।
- কিছু Abstract noun হচ্ছে- Motherhood, honesty, justice, kindness, faith, humanity, etc.

• Collective Noun:
- যে সকল noun দ্বারা সমজাতীয় কিছু ব্যক্তি, বস্তু বা স্থানের অবিভক্ত সমষ্টিকে বোঝায় তাদেরকে Collective noun বলে।
- অর্থাৎ, কিছু Common noun-এর সমষ্টিকেই Collective noun বলে।
- কিছু collective noun হচ্ছে- cattle, herd, army, public, library, jury, committee, crew, majority, minority, etc.
