- ১৫৮৯-৯৪ সালের মধ্যবর্তী সময়ে লেখা এই five-acts comedy টি ১৬২৩ সালে তাঁর 'First Foilo' এর অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে প্রকাশিত।
-  It was based on Menaechmi by Plautus, with additional material from Plautus’s Amphitruo and the story of Apollonius of Tyre.

• দুইজন যমজ মনিবের দুইজন যমজ চাকরকে নিয়ে সৃষ্ট নানা হাস্যরসের কাহিনী নিয়ে এই নাটক রচিত। 
- যমজ হলেও দুই ভাই একে অপরের সাথে পরিচিত নয় যদিও তারা একই শহরে থাকে।
- মনিব দুই ভাইয়ের নাম Antipholus আর চাকর ভাইদ্বয়ের নাম Dromio. - তবে শেষমেষ বিভ্রান্তির অবসান হয় এবং সব চরিত্রের মিলন হয়। 
- ঈশ্বরচন্দ্র বিদ্যাসাগর এই নাটকের ভাবানুবাদ করেন এবং নাম দেন ভ্রান্তিবিলাস।
