- সাধারণত মূল Verb-এর সাথে ed যুক্ত হয়ে past participle গঠিত হয়, যেমন work-worked।
- কিন্তু অনেক ক্ষেত্রে ed যুক্ত না হয়েও past particple গঠিত হতে পারে।
- যেমন: go-gone.
- Past Participle Verb সহ adjective হিসেবেও ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে।
- সুতরাং, এই বাক্যে 'Surprised' হচ্ছে past participle.
