- যে subordinate clause একটি বাক্যে একটি adverb হিসেবে কাজ করে এবং একটি verb,বা একটি adjective-clause বা অন্য একটি adverbial clause-কে modify করে তাকে Adverbial Clause বলে।
 - Adverb এর মত এরা - time, place, cause, effect, purpose ইত্যাদি বুঝায়।

• Because, as, since- প্রভৃতি দ্বারা কোন clause শুরু হলে তা কারণ নির্দেশ করে। 
এরূপ clause কে Adverbial clause of reason বলে। যেমন: 
- She speaks Spanish fluently because she lived in Spain for years.
- As I was ill, I could not attend the meeting. 
- Since he studied diligently, he aced the exam.
