Direct: She said to me, “Let us watch a movie tonight.”
Indirect: She suggested to me that we should watch a movie that night.

• Let এর ব্যবহার:
- let যখন proposal কিংবা suggestion অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয় তখন reporting verb এ propose’ কিংবা ‘suggest’ বসে।
- বাক্যে finite verb এর আগে Modal auxiliary ‘should’ ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- দুইটি বাক্যকে যুক্ত করতে ‘that’ বসে।
- reported speech এর মূল verb থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত বসে।

• Example:
Direct: He said to me, “Let us go home.”
Indirect: He proposed to me that we should go home.
