Direct Speech: She said, "I cooked pasta".
Indirect Speech: She said that she had cooked pasta.
- Reporting speech past tense এ থাকায় Indirect speech এ Past Perfect Tense হবে: Direct speech-এর "cooked" পরিবর্তন হয়ে had cooked (Past Perfect) হয়েছে।

• Direct speech থেকে Indirect speech এ রূপান্তরের ক্ষেত্রে:
- Reporting verb এর subject বসে।
- Reporting verb say/said, tell/told (যদি থাকে) বসে।
- Inverted comma উঠে that বসে।
- Reported speech এর subject number/person অনুযায়ী পরিবর্তন করতে হবে।
- Reporting speech (said) past tense এ থাকায় Indirect speech এ Past Perfect Tense হবে।
- বাকি অংশ বসবে।

Other options:
ক) She told that she had cooked pasta.
- ভুল কারন, এখানে said-এর বদলে told ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। told-এর পরে সাধারণত একটি object বসে। এখানে কোনো object নেই।

খ) She said that she have cooked pasta.
- ভুল কারন, Reporting speech "past tense" এ থাকায় Indirect speech এ "Past Perfect Tense" হবে।

ঘ) She told that she have cooked pasta.
- ভুল কারন, Reporting speech "past tense" এ থাকায় Indirect speech এ "Past Perfect Tense" হবে।
