• Transitive verb
- A transitive verb is a verb that denotes an action which passes over from the subject to an object.
- বাক্যের অর্থ সম্পন্ন করতে যে verb-এর object প্রয়োজন হয়, তাকে transitive verb বলে।
- Transitive verbs -এর সাধারণ Structure হচ্ছে: subject + verb + object.
- Object টি সর্বদাই Noun/pronoun হয়। তাই বাক্যে verb -এর পরে Noun/pronoun থাকলে verb টি Transitive verb হবে।

- He took shelter under a tree.
- She read the book in one day.
