Verb এর সাথে ing যোগ হয়ে যদি adjective এর কাজ করে অর্থাৎ Verb ও adjective এর কাজ করে, তাহলে তাকে present participle বলে। Present participle দ্বারা চলমান sense বোঝায়।
যেমন: A rolling Stone gathers no moss.
She is swimming.
I saw a flying bird.
I saw the girl dancing.
