- He was born in London, England in 1608.

- তিনি William Shakespeare এর পর সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ English author হিসেবে বিবেচিত।
- মূলত কবি হিসেবে প্রসিদ্ধ হলেও মিল্টন কিছু উচ্চমানের রাজনৈতিক প্রবন্ধও লিখেছিলেন।
