• No sooner --than, Scarcely--when, Hardly--when দ্বারা দুটি clause যুক্ত থাকলে :
- যদি প্রথম clause টি past perfect tense হয় তবে দ্বিতীয় clause টি past indefinite tense হয়।

Example:
No sooner had I gone out than he came.
Hardly had I gone out when he came.

• তাই নিয়ম অনুযায়ী সঠিক বাক্যটি হবে- No sooner had she gone out than my mother came.
