- যে sub-ordinate clause কোনো noun/pronoun এর পরে বসে ঐ noun/pronoun কে modify করে তাকে Adjective Clause বলে। 
- অর্থাৎ noun এর post modifier হিসাবে adjective clause বসে।

• Adjective Clause দুইটি স্থানে বসতে পারে - 
- Noun এর post modifier - (subject + verb + noun + adjective clause) 
- Subject এর  post modifier - (Subject + adjective clause + verb + object)

• প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত - My brother, who lives in Australia, will be coming to India next month. এই বাক্যে 'who lives in Australia' এই clause টি noun এর পরে বসে তাকে modify করেছে তাই এটি adjective clause.
- Adjective clause মূলত clause সম্পর্কে অতিরিক্ত তথ্য দেয়  এবং এরা relative pronoun (that, who, whose, whom, which, why, when) ইত্যাদি দ্বারা  শুরু হয়।
