Mary said to him, "Are you coming tomorrow?"

• Interrogative Sentence এর Direct Speech কে Indirect Speech এ রূপান্তরের নিয়ম:
i) Reporting verb টি 'ask'/ 'enquire of'/ 'want to know' ইত্যাদিতে পরিবর্তিত হয়।
ii) Reported Speech যদি Auxiliary verb দ্বারা আরম্ভ হয়, তবে Reported speech এর পূর্বে that না বসে if/whether বসাতে হয়।
iii) Sentence টি Interrogative এর পরিবর্তে Assertive sentence- এ রূপান্তরিত হয়।

Structure: Subject + ask/enquire of + object (যদি থাকে) + if/whether + Reported speech এর subject + verb (Tense অনুসারে) + বাকী অংশ।

Direct: Mary said to him, "Are you coming tomorrow?"
Indirect: Mary asked him whether he was coming the next day.
