The Restoration Period in English literature began in 1660.

• Restoration period:
- Restoration period হচ্ছে The Neo-classical Period এর অন্তর্ভুক্ত একটি period।
- Restoration period এর সময়সীমা ছিলো ১৬৬০ -১৭০০ পর্যন্ত।
- ১১ বছর পর ইংল্যান্ডে রাজতন্ত্রের পুন্রুদ্ধার হয় তাই একে Restoration period বলা হয়।
- John Dryden ছিলেন Restoration period প্রথম ও প্রধান কবি ও নাট্যকার। এবং ওই যুগের সবচেয়ে প্রতিভাবান ও প্রভাবশালী লেখক ছিলেন।
- Restoration period কে খ্যাতিমান কবি John Dryden এর নাম অনুসারে Age of Dryden ও বলা হয়।

• Main literary theme of Restoration period :
- Restoration period এ যুগে Great English Epics রচিত হয়।
- এই যুগে Heroic tragedy রচিত হয়েছিলো।
