• He was born after the death of his father. (Preposition)
- যে Word কোন Noun বা Pronoun এর পূর্বে বসে Sentence এর অন্য কোন Word এর সাথে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করে তাকে Preposition বলে।
এখানে after শব্দটি 'the death of his father' - noun clause এর পূর্বে বসে Sentence এর অন্যান্য Word এর সাথে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করেছে তাই এটি Preposition.

• The patient died after the doctor had come. (Conjunction)
- যেসব শব্দ একটি বাক্য বা বাক্যাংশের সঙ্গে আরেকটি বাক্য বা বাক্যাংশকে যুক্ত করে তাদের Conjunction বলে।
এখানে after দ্বারা দুইটি clause ['The patient died' এবং 'the doctor had come'] যুক্ত হয়েছে বিধায় এখানে এটি conjunction.

- এখানে after দ্বারা তাদের আসার সময় সম্পর্কে বুঝাচ্ছে তাই এটি Adverb of time.

• After ages shall sing his glory. (Adjective)
After ages = পরবর্তী প্রজন্ম। 
এখানে after – ages (noun) এর modifier হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে, তাই এটা এখানে Adjective.
