বাক্যের দুইটি clause এর মধ্যে if দ্বারা যুক্ত  clause টি past perfect tense এ থাকলে অপর clauseটিতে subject এরপর might have/could have/would have বসে এবং মূল  verb এর past participle form হয়। 

প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত বাক্যটিতে  if দ্বারা যুক্ত  clause টি past perfect tense ( had+ verb এর past participle) হওয়াতে অপর  clauseটিতে subject এরপর might have বসেছে  এবং verb এর past participle form হয়েছে। 

আবার বাক্যের দুইটি clause এর মধ্যে if দ্বারা যুক্ত  clause টি past indefinite  tense এ থাকলে অপর clauseটিতে subject এরপর might/could/would বসে এবং verb এর present form হয়।
যেমনঃ If he came, i would go.

এবং বাক্যের দুইটি clause এর মধ্যে if দ্বারা যুক্ত  clause টি present  indefinite  tense এ থাকলে অপর clauseটি future indefinite tense এ হয়।
যেমনঃ If he works hard, he will shine in life.
