• প্রশ্নে উল্লেখিত অপশন গুলোর মধ্যে - We played instead of working  বাক্যটি শুদ্ধ কারন, 
- preposition অথবা prepositional phrase এর পর noun/noun phrase বসে এবং verb থাকলে ing যুক্ত হয়। 
- এই নিয়মানুযায়ী বাক্যটি শুদ্ধ।

- কিছু কিছু verb - যেমন - Reach, resemble, violate, discuss, resign, sign, investigate, recommend, order, command, enter, ইত্যাদি verb গুলো transitive বলে এদের পরে কোনো preposition বসে না।
- এদের পর সরাসরি object বসে।
- সে অনুযায়ী 'The Judge investigated into the case.' এবং 'The teacher recommended for the new book.' এবং 'The captain ordered to his soldiers to march on. বাক্যগুলো ভুল কারণ investigated, recommended  এবং  ordered  এরপর preposition এসেছে।
