• Comparative degree তে সবচেয়ে বড় বুঝাতে than any other বা than all other ব্যবহৃত হয়। 
- Than all other এরপর plural noun বসে এবং than any other এর পর singular noun বসে।
- তাই নিয়মানুযায়ী, 
- The man appears to be stronger than all other living men (all other এরপর plural men বসেছে) বাক্যটি সঠিক।

• অন্যদিকে, 
• Raju is better than any other players in the team - বাক্যটিতে any other এরপর plural noun হিসেবে players এর বদলে singular player হলে বাক্যটি সঠিক হত।
• The chain was more stronger than we thought -বাক্যটিতে কেবল মাত্র stonger হবে, কারন -er যুক্ত comparative এর সাথে কখনোই more বসবে না।
• Man is superior to any other creature-  এই বাক্যে than এর স্থলে to বসবে।
- সাধারণত Comparative degree এর পরে than বসলেও prefer, senior, junior, inferior, superior, prior, ulterior, posterior ইত্যাদি Latin Comparative গুলোর পরে to বসে (than নয়)।
