I studied hard but could not pass the exam. (Make it simple)

• The correct simple form is- ক) "In spite of my studying hard, I could not pass the exam."

• But যুক্ত Compound sentence কে Simple Sentence এ পরিণত করার নিয়ম:
- প্রথমে Inspite of বসে +
- প্রথম part এর Subject এর Posssesive form বসেছে +
- প্রথম part এর am/is/are/was/were এর পরিবর্তে being বসে,
- বা has, have, had, এর পরিবর্তে having বসে,
- বা প্রথম part এর মূল verb এর সাথে ing যোগ করতে হয়+
- but এর পরিবর্তে comma (,) বসে+ দ্বিতীয় Sentence টি বসে।

(i) Compound: He is ill but he can run fast.
Simple: In spite of his being ill, he can run fast.
(ii) Compound: I ran fast but I could not get the train.
Simple: In spite of my running fast, I could not get the train.
