I said to him, "Where are you going? (Change into indirect speech)

Direct speech: I said to him, "Where are you going?"
Indirect speech: I asked him where he was going.

• Interrogative sentence (Direct speech) কে (Indirect speech)- এ রূপান্তর এর নিয়ম:
- প্রথমে Reporting verb-এর Subject বসে এবং Reporting verb "said" -এর পরিবর্তে asked বসবে।
- তারপর Reported speech টি যদি auxiliary verb দ্বারা শুরু হয় তাহলে Inverted comma তুলে দিয়ে linker হিসেবে if/whether বসবে।
- তবে, Reported speech টি যদি "Wh" word দ্বারা শুরু হয় তাহলে তা অপরিবর্তিত থাকবে।
- তারপর Reported speech-এর Object বসবে।
- নিয়মানুযায়ী Tense পরিবর্তিত হবে এবং Verb, Subject এর পরে বসে।
- Direct speech টি Present Continuous এ থাকলে Indirect speech এ, তা Past Continuous এ পরিণত হবে।
- তারপর বাকি অংশ বসবে।
