He was enthusiastic about the project, but he failed to meet the deadline. (Make it simple)

• Simple Sentence:
- যে sentence- এ একটি মাত্র subject ও একটি মাত্র Finite verb থাকে তাকে simple sentence বলে। 

• But যুক্ত Compound sentence কে simple sentence এ রূপান্তর: 
- শুরুতে inspite of/despite বসে।
- person অনুযায়ী possessive form যেমন: my/his/her বসে। 
- প্রথম clause এর adjective এর noun form + দ্বিতীয় clause ব্যবহার করা হয়।

• Example: 
Compound: He is rich but he is unhappy. 
Simple: Inspite of his riches he is unhappy.

Compound: He was ill, but he came for rehearsal.
Simple: In spite of his illness, he came for rehearsal.
