→ সাধারণত must, ought to এবং should-এর মতো modal auxiliary গুলির কোন পরিবর্তন হয় না, যদিও কখনো কখনো Direct Speech এ Must থাকলে এই Must দ্বারা যদি কোনো ভবিষ্যৎ কাজের বাধ্যবাধকতা বুঝায় অথবা উপদেশ বুঝায়, তাহলে Indirect করার সময় would have to ব্যবহৃত হয়।
→ Next থাকলে the following বসে।

• তাই এখানে He said that they would have to mend the roof the following year হবে সঠিক উত্তর।

অন্যদিকে,
বাকি অপশনগুলো Indirect Speech এর সঠিক Rules ফলো করে না। তাই বাকি অপশনগুলো সঠিক নয়।
