♦ Compound Sentence (যৌগিক বাক্য)
• At least দুটি Clauses থাকবে এবং সেই Clause কেই হতে হবে Independent Clauses.
• Co-ordinate Conjunction যেমন and, or, but, for, yet, so, therefore, otherwise, else ইত্যাদি দ্বারা যুক্ত থাকে।

যেমন-
• Work hard and you can prosper in life.
• Do or die.
• He is absent, for he is ill.
• Do the work, else I will punish you.

• He is absent, for he is ill.
- for অর্থ এখানে 'কারণ'।
- for একটি Co-ordinate Conjunction, আর Co-ordinate Conjunction দিয়ে যখন দুটি Clause যুক্ত হয় তখন তাকে বলা হয় Compound Sentence.
