• Adjective clause:
- যেসব sub-ordinate clause বাক্যে ব্যবহার হয়ে adjective -এর কাজ করে তাদেরকে Adjective clause বলে।
- অর্থাৎ বাক্যে noun/pronoun -এর পরে বসে ঐ noun/pronoun -কে modify করে।
- Adjective clause -কে Relative clause ও বলা হয়।
- Relative clause গুলো সাধারণত Relative pronoun (that, who, whose, whom, which, why, when) ইত্যাদি দ্বারা শুরু হয়।
- তবে মনে রাখতে হবে যে, who এবং which দ্বারা গঠিত clause টি যদি cause or purpose বোঝায় তবে সেটি Adverbial Clause হিসেবে বিবেচিত হবে।

• Adjective clause বাক্যে দুইটি স্থানে বসতে পারে:
1. Subject -এর post-modifier হিসেবে- ( Subject + adjective clause + verb + object)
- যেমন: The house where I grew up is now for sale.

2. Noun -এর post-modifier হিসেবে- (Subject + verb + noun + adjective clause)
- যেমন: She wore the dress which was on sale.
