- Here ‘teaching’ is- Gerund.

- Here, "teaching" acts as the object of the verb "enjoy".
- অর্থাৎ, এখানে 'teaching' শব্দটি 'enjoy' - Verb -এর Object হওয়ার কারণে এটি Noun হিসেবে কাজ করছে।
- আর Verb+ing → Noun হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হলে এটা Gerund হয়।

- Enjoy, avoid, finish, dislike, ইত্যাদি verb এর পরে সাধারণত gerund (noun form) ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• Gerund:
- Verb -এর সাথে ing যোগ হয়ে যদি noun -এর কাজ করে অর্থাৎ, একই সাথে Verb ও noun -এর কাজ করে, তখন তাকে Gerund বলে।
- সহজে → Gerund = Verb + ing = noun = Verb + noun -এর কাজ করে।
- Gerunds don’t describe action—they act as nouns.

• Functions of the Gerund:
1. Subject of a verb: Rising early is a good habit.
2. Object of a verb: I like reading poetry.
3. Object of a preposition: I am tired of waiting.
4. Complement of a verb: Seeing is believing.
5. As absolutely (part of a compound noun): This is my writing-table.

• অন্যদিকে,
- Participle হলো verbal adjective যা noun/pronoun কে modify করে অর্থাৎ, adjective-এর কাজ করে।
