Preposition: 
- স্থান, দিক, উৎস, পদ্ধতি ইত্যাদি নির্দেশ করার জন্য প্রায়ই noun ও pronoun- এর পূর্বে ব্যবহৃত সুনির্দিষ্ট শব্দ বা শব্দগুচ্ছকে Preposition বলে। 
- Preposition সাধারণত noun বা pronoun এর পূর্বে বসে তার সাথে বাক্যের অন্যান্য শব্দের সম্পর্ক নির্দেশ করে। 

• Could you make me a coffee too while you're about it?
- এই বাক্যটিতে 'about' শব্দটি it (pronoun) এর পূর্বে বসে বাক্যের অন্য অংশের সাথে সম্পর্ক নির্দেশ করছে। 
- বাক্যটি মূলত হচ্ছে এমন: Could you make me a coffee too while you're about it (= while you are making one for yourself)?
- তাই, বুঝা যাচ্ছে এখানে 'about' হচ্ছে Preposition. 

Preposition হিসেবে 'about' এর ব্যবহার: 
(১) (গতিসূচক verb’s-সহ): এখানে-সেখানে; যত্রতত্র; ইতস্তত: Prisoners broke open the jail and were wandering about the town.
(২) (অবস্থা, অবস্থান ইত্যাদিসূচক adjective verb’s-সহ) কাছে; কারো নিকটে: Women standing about in the corridor. I’ve no money about me, আমার সঙ্গে টাকা নেই।
(৩) কাছাকাছি: You can drop me somewhere about here.
(৪) বিষয়ে; সম্বন্ধে: What did you tell him about me? How/What about এটা হলে কেমন হয়? How about going to cinema? সিনেমায় গেলে কেমন হয়? 
(৫) নিয়ে ব্যস্ত/ব্যাপৃত: What are you about? go/set about something কোনো কিছু করা; করতে লাগা: He knows how to go about this business.
(৬) চতুর্দিকে: the traffic about Palton.
(৭) about to + infinitive কোনো কিছু করতে উদ্যত: He is about to go on trip to Nepal.
