Change the sentence from direct speech to indirect. He said, "The horse died in the night."

- Direct speech: He said, "The horse died in the night."
- Indirect speech: He said that the horse had died in the night.

• Assertive sentence -এর Narration - change করার ক্ষেত্রে,
- প্রথমে Reporting verb -এর subject বসে এবং তারপর Reporting verb - say/said, tell/told (যদি থাকে) বসে।
- তারপর assertive sentence -এর ক্ষেত্রে Inverted comma উঠে conjuction হিসেবে that বসে।
- তারপর Reported speech -এর person পরিবর্তন করতে হয়।
- Reported speech - এর person - Reporting verb - এর subject, object - এর number, person, ও gender অনুযায়ী পরিবর্তন হয়।
- তবে, Reported speech -এ third person থাকলে তা পরিবর্তন হয় না।
- তারপর Direct narration - এর Reported speech যদি past indefinite tense -এ থাকে তাহলে Indirect narration -এ past perfect tense -এ পরিবর্তিত হয়।
- তারপর বাকি অংশ বসে।

• সুতরাং, নিয়মানুযায়ী সঠিক Indirect speech হলো- খ) He said that the horse had died in the night.
