Change the narration: Emma said to John, "Will you help me with this project?"

• Narration এর ক্ষেত্রে,
Sentence টি Interrogative sentence এ থাকলে,
- Reporting verb টি ask, inquire of, want to know, demand, wonder ইত্যাদিতে পরিবর্তিত হয়।
- Sentence টি Interrogative এর পরিবর্তে Assertive এ পরিণত হয়।

• Interrogative sentence এ যদি W/H question word না থেকে যদি auxiliary verb দ্বারা শুরু হয় তখন সেই বাক্যটিকে পরিবর্তনের নিয়ম:
- Reporting verb এর subject বসে।
- Tense অনুযায়ী ask/ inquire of বসে।
- Object বসে (যদি থাকে)।
- if/ whether বসে।
- reported speech এর subject বসে।
- reported speech এর verb বসে।
- বাকি অংশ।

Structure: Reporting verb এর subject + Tense অনুযায়ী ask/ inquire of + Object + if/ whether + reported speech এর subject + reported speech এর verb + বাকি অংশ।

Direct: Promi said to her friend, "Will you go home?"
Indirect: Promi asked her friend if she would go home.

Direct: Emma said to John, "Will you help me with this project?"
Indirect: Emma asked John if he would help her with that project.

• যদি direct speech-এ একটি প্রশ্ন থাকে, তবে তা indirect speech-এ রূপান্তর করার সময় "if" বা "whether" ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
- Verb tense পরিবর্তন: will বা shall কে would বা should-এ রূপান্তর করতে হয়।
- Pronoun পরিবর্তন: বাক্যের মধ্যে ব্যবহৃত pronoun-গুলি উপযুক্ত রূপে পরিবর্তন করতে হয়।

• "Will" কে "would"-এ রূপান্তর করা হয়েছে।
- "me" কে "her"-এ পরিবর্তন করা হয়েছে।
- "this project" কে "that project"-এ রূপান্তরিত হয়েছে

Other options,
খ) Emma asked John will he would help her with that project.
- এটি ভুল কারণ "will" ও "would" একসাথে ব্যবহার করা হয় না।

গ) Emma asked John if he would helped her with that project.
- এটি ভুল কারণ "would" এর সাথে past participle (helped) ব্যবহার করা হয় না; "would help" হওয়া উচিত।

ঘ) Emma asked John if he helped her with that project.
- এটি ভুল কারণ "helped" (past tense) ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে, যা প্রশ্নের মূল গঠন অনুযায়ী সঠিক নয়।
