'Catastrophe' is a part of -

• Catastrophe: (আকস্মিক দূর্যোগ বা মহা দূর্ঘটনা):
- It is the final scene of a tragedy in which the action ends with the death of the hero.
- অন্যভাবে বলতে গেলে, The dreadful consequence of the story of a tragedy is called Catastrophe.
- সাধারণত এটি tragedy তেই ঘটে থাকে।
- It is synonymous with the term 'denouement’.
- প্রধান চরিত্রের করা কিছু ভুলের কারণে নাটকের শেষে তার উপর মহাদূর্যোগ আপতিত হবে। 

• Example,
- Catastrophe occurs in the last scene of 'Doctor Faustus' in which Faustus begs for God's forgiveness but Lucifer drags him to hell.
- এর মাধ্যমেই নাটকটির সমাপ্তি ঘটেছিল আর এতে প্রকাশ পেয়েছে 'Doctor Faustus' সারাজীবনের কৃতকর্মের শাস্তির চিত্র।
