চিরন্তন অর্থবোধক affirmative sentence-কে নিচের নিয়মটি ব্যবহার করে negative করতে হয়।
• শুরুতে বাক্যস্থিত auxiliary verb বসে+
- not (n't) বসে +
- বাকী অংশ বসে+ প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন বসে।

N.B. Sentence-এর মধ্যে সাহায্যকারী verb না থাকলে তার পরিবর্তে বাক্যের শুরুতে Don't/Doesn't/Didn't বসে + (b) subject বসে + main verb এর Present form বসে + (c) বাকী অংশ বসে + প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন বসে।

Affir: Health is wealth.
Neg: Isn't health wealth?

Affir: The sun sets in the west.
Neg: Doesn't the sun set in the west?
