• As soon as দ্বারা গঠিত sentence কে negative করতে হলে ‘as soon’ এর পরিবর্তে ‘No sooner’ sentence এর প্রথমে বসে।
- এবং ‘as’ এর পরিবর্তে ‘than’ বসে।
- অর্থাৎ, sentence pattern - টি হবে -
- No sooner + had +subject + past participle + extension + than + principal clause.
Correct Sentence - No sooner had she seen it than she knew that it must be Jim's.

কিন্তু ,
- As soon as, sentence এর শুরুতে না বসে মাঝেও বসতে পারে। সেক্ষেত্রে negative করতে হলে No sooner had ও sentence এর শুরুতে না বসে মাঝে বসবে। অর্থাৎ,
Affirmative - The train left as soon as I reached the station.
Negative - I had no sooner reached the station than the train left.
Affirmative - I will tell him as soon as I see him.
Negative - I no sooner see him than I will tell him.
