An implicit comparison between two different things is called -

• Metaphor is an implicit comparison between two different things.
- যখন কোনো বাক্যে দুটি ভিন্ন বা বিজাতীয় জিনিসের মাঝে পরোক্ষভাবে বা রূপকার্থে তুলনা করা হয় তাকে বলা হয় Metaphor.
- সাধারণত Metaphor দ্বারা এমন দুইটি জিনিসের মধ্যে তুলনা দেওয়া হয় যারা একই রকম বা সদৃশ নয় কিন্তু তাদের মধ্যে কিছু সাধারণ মিল থাকে।

Metaphor এর আরো কিছু উদাহরণ হল -
- Life is but a walking shadow.
- "She's all states, and all princes, I"
- "Revenge is a wild justice.
- All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players.

অন্যদিকে,
• Irony - A statement or a situation or an action which actually means the opposite of its surface meaning.
• Epic Simile - An open comparison between two dissimilar objects of which one is fairly elaborated.
• Hyperbole - An exaggerated statement or an extreme overstatement।
