A common noun is one which is common to each member of class of persons or things.
যে noun কোন এক শ্রেণির ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর প্রত্যেকের সাধারণ নাম বুঝায় তাকে common  noun  বলে।

- Girl
- Planet 
- Dress
- Chair
- Table
- Mug

এখানে Poet দ্বারা সকল কবির সাধারণ নাম বুঝাচ্ছে।
